What's in my Dog?

I'm frequently asked what type of dog Franklin is. I typically respond either by saying that he is an Australian Shephard Mix or simply telling people that he is a good old fashioned mutt. Now I finally have answer, I submitted a sample of Franklin's blood for a Mixed Breed Analysis test.

And the results are....

"..Franklin is an extremely complex mixed breed dog. Results like Franklin's are found in about 15% of mixed breed dogs in the US. Franklin's ancestry contains distant traces of Australian Shepherd, English Cocker Spaniel, Samoyed, Shiba Inu, and Siberian Husky. There are also faint signals from other breeds which are not strong enough to identify."

Well I guess that means I'm back to saying that he is a good old fashioned mutt!!!
(or an Australish Shiber Spanu Samerian Shepusky)

That is so cool! We love Franklin no matter what he is, but it's great to know exactly what kind of mutt he is.

Now, what's Merle?

Now that you have him all figured out, can you enter him in any dog shows? Matt and I are excited to do the same for Merle, we are not expecting her blood to be 100% dog though...
